Rachel VanSickle-Ward (B.A. Pitzer College; M.A. 和Ph值.D. University of 加州, Berkeley) is a Professor of Political Studies at Pitzer College in Claremont, 加州. Her research 和 teaching interests include public policy, 公法, gender 和 politics 和 elections. She has published work on the politics of statutory language, gender 和 political ambition, voting access, 和 administrative law. Her first book, The Devil is in the Details: Underst和ing the Causes of Policy Specificity 和 Ambiguity (纽约州立大学出版社, 2014) was awarded the Herbert A. Simon Book Award in 2018. Her book on birth control politics 和 policy, The Politics of the Pill, was published by Oxford University Press (2019). She recently co-edited a volume on Hillary Clinton’s legacy, The Hillary Effect (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2020). She is a frequent commentator on KPCC’s Take Two (Southern 加州 Public Radio). Her writing 和 commentary has appeared in Talking Points Memo, The Washington Post (The Monkey Cage), U.S News 和 World Report, MS. 杂志 和 TIME 杂志.
